Two people including a police constable lost their lives in two separate bomb explosions in the Mamond Tehsil of Bajaur’s tribal district on Saturday.
According to local police officials, the first explosion occurred in the Airab area under the jurisdiction of the Loi Mamond police station. The blast resulted in the death of Malik Asghar, a local resident.
In a second, unrelated incident, a bomb exploded in the Menakhor area, also within Loi Mamond's limits, claiming the life of police constable Ehsanullah.
Meanwhile, the police swiftly cordoned off the affected areas following the explosions and initiated a search operation to trace the perpetrators. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts.
