Defence Minister Khawaja Asif dismissed on Friday the embattled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) claims of the party workers’ deaths in the Islamabad protests.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Asif said, “Neither is there is any dead body or funeral nor the information about the relatives. The foreign media was also fed with the fake information.”
“The fake information is being spread both within the country and abroad. The country is being maligned through the proper planning,” he said.
Asif said, “A group of thieves and frauds is trying to create an image of tussle between the KP government and the centre.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Rana Tanveer Hussain said that it is up to all the allied political parties to ban the embattled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Expressing his thoughts, Hussain said, “Democracy cannot be upheld in the parliament not by pouring onto the streets.”
“50 of the Afghan citizens had been identified, who took part in the PTI protests,” said Hussain.
“The PML-N is having the vision to steer the country towards prosperity,” he said.
He lavished his praise on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for making efforts to steer the country’s economy towards prosperity. “The credit goes to the premier and his team for steering the country towards revival.”
