Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Sunday called for holding talks in a bid to address the problems faced by Balochistan and its people.
Addressing the seminar at the Karachi Press Club, Rehman said, “We [JI] want to uphold the supremacy of the constitution and law in the country.”
He emphasised the need for taking steps to ensure the release of the missing persons. “The disgruntled people should be convinced and given respect, employments and education,” Rehman said.
The JI chief said: “The talks should be held with those who are not the product of the Form-47.”

Few days back, Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme, “Nadeem Malik Live”, Rehman said that Pakistan cannot afford war with Afghanistan.
Rehman said: “Afghanistan needs to understand that its matters cannot be addressed without us [Pakistan].”
“We have come up with the proposal that the JI and other political forces should hold the jirga on the matter,” said Rehman.
