Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar expressed on Tuesday his resolve to foster ties with China .
In an interview with a foreign news outlet, PM Kakar said, ‘’It is an important part of our country’s foreign policy to strengthen our ties with China.’’ Speaking about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said, ‘’The CPEC project reflects the vision of joint prosperity of Chinese President Xi Jinping’’.
He was of the view that China continues to uphold the financing system in a bid to lead to prosperity in developing countries.
PM Kakar underscored the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), saying, ‘’The BRI is assisting the countries to lead the masses to progression.’’
The premier reiterated that through the CPEC, $25.4 billion was invested exclusively in Pakistan.

Earlier today, PM Kakar had stressed that Pakistan will not let anyone affect its close relations with China.
The caretaker PM was speaking with scholars and researchers from think tanks at the CPEC roundtable meeting in Beijing on Tuesday.
He further said the Pak-China eternal friendship has been established at every opportunity, and no relationship is more important for Pakistan than that with China.
“Thanks to CPEC, the working landscape of Pakistan has changed in the last 10 years,” Kakar commented, adding that the revolutionary multi-billion-dollar project was advancing the national agenda of sustainable development.
