The price of gold in Pakistan saw a massive increase on Wednesday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola hiked by a massive Rs5,300, settling at the highest ever Rs299,600, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,158, taking it to Rs256,859.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a rise of $53 on Wednesday, reaching $2,868 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also increased by Rs36, reaching Rs3,350 per tola.
