Gold price in Pakistan crossed the historic Rs300,000 milestone for the first time in history, after a minor increase on Friday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola hiked by Rs1,346, settling at the highest ever Rs300,046, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,154, taking it to Rs257,241.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a rise of $10 on Friday, reaching $2,869 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also went up by Rs51, reaching Rs3,378 per tola.
