After crossing the historic Rs300,000 milestone for the first time in history, the price of gold in Pakistan dropped on Saturday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola declined by Rs1,046, settling at the highest ever Rs299,000, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs897, taking it to Rs256,344.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a fall of $8 on Saturday, reaching $2,861 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also decreased by Rs48, reaching Rs3,330 per tola.
