Security forces and government agencies are continuing their nationwide anti-drug operations to eradicate narcotics from the country.
The extensive crackdown has led to the seizure of 1,082.56 metric tons of drugs since September 2023.
Law enforcement agencies have arrested 2,694 drug peddlers in this ongoing operation.
Since September 2024, authorities have confiscated 5.63 metric tons of heroin and 73.5 metric tons of hashish, along with 5.71 metric tons of meth, 10.99 metric tons of opium, and 986.49 metric tons of other illicit drugs.
In the past week alone, security forces seized 607.16 kg of drugs and arrested 54 drug peddlers. The confiscated substances include 54.39 kg of heroin, 401.41 kg of hashish, 64.55 kg of meth, 62.8 kg of opium, and 23.99 kg of other narcotics.
