Punjab Home dept has announced that Public Liaison Committees will serve as community watchdogs.
Home dept spokesperson said these committees will consist of respected members of society along with government officials to strengthen coordination between the public and law enforcement.
Deputy Commissioners across Punjab have been directed to establish these liaison committees at the police station level to ensure better community engagement and oversight.
