Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Seemabia Tahir was released from the New Town police station after being detained a few hours ago from the Adiala Jail gate.
Following her arrest, she was transferred to the Adiala police station for further proceedings.
Police released Seemabia Tahir after confirmation of her bail, which she obtained from the Peshawar High Court till February 26.
According to sources, Seemabia Tahir is an accused in a case registered at the New Town police station. She had arrived at the court for her scheduled appearance when law enforcement officials detained her.
The police have not disclosed details regarding the specific charges or reasons behind her arrest.
