Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, along with key federal and provincial government officials, will visit various projects under the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) on February 14 to review ongoing agricultural projects and facilities.
During the visit, the delegation will inaugurate major projects, including the Smart Agri Farm, Green Agri Mall, and Research Facilitation Centers. These initiatives aim to promote modern farming techniques, agricultural research, and agribusiness development.
Officials will also be briefed on GPI’s key achievements in advancing agricultural productivity, sustainability, and corporate farming. Additionally, an exhibition will showcase modern agricultural machinery and technologies, highlighting their role in transforming Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
A significant part of the visit includes a tour of model farms in Perowal and Muzaffargarh, where farmers will be introduced to innovative agricultural techniques designed to boost yield and efficiency.
The visit is expected to provide a significant boost to agricultural development projects under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). With agriculture playing a crucial role in Pakistan’s economy, efforts under GPI continue to focus on ensuring food security, economic stability, and sustainable farming practices.
