The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is set to bring exciting cricket action to Pakistan, as the country will host this prestigious event for the first time.
According to details, the tournament will feature a total of eight teams divided into two groups. Notably, the teams involved include Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, New Zealand Australia, England, Afghanistan and South Africa.
The tournament will consist of 15 matches, spread across four key venues: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Dubai.
Lahore and Dubai will each host four matches, while Karachi and Rawalpindi will each stage three games.
The schedule confirmed that Pakistan will kick off their campaign on February 19 in Karachi, with opening match against New Zealand.
A high-octane encounter will take place on February 23 when Pakistan will take on the arch-rivals, India in Dubai.
The final group match for Pakistan will be against Bangladesh, scheduled in Rawalpindi.
The event will follow with the first semi-final on March 4 in Dubai and the second semi-final a day later, on March 5.
In the event that India qualify for the final, the tournament will proceed with the previously planned schedule.
However, if India fail to qualify, the hosting rights will shift to Lahore for the final.
The winner of the Champions Trophy will receive a cash prize of US$2.24 million, while the runner-up will be awarded $1.12 million.
