Senior lawyer Faisal Chaudhry has shed light on the ongoing struggles of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan, stating that the prolonged delay in his release is causing significant harm to the party.
Speaking to the media in Dina, he emphasized that despite being in prison, Khan remains strong and committed to his cause.
Imran Khan’s political struggle from jail
Faisal Chaudhry asserted that he had no connection with PTI’s legal team, instead his loyalty lies with Imran Khan only. “I belong to Imran Khan. I will advocate for him whenever he asks me to,” he stated.
He revealed that despite multiple meetings between PTI leaders and the party chief inside Adiala Jail, his messages are not being conveyed publicly. “Even today, those who met with him have not shared his message,” he said, adding that talking to Imran Khan about a district general secretary is not his level, but he should be talked about national or international level.
Chaudhry also pointed out that in the past, Khan’s messages were only made public when he or Aleema Khanum met him. “When Imran Khan's stance about issues was communicated from inside, things used to develop quickly,” he added, stressing that Imran Khan was winning the war of narratives when a plan was hatched to control the outflow of his messages.
Meetings with establishment and APC
The senior lawyer claimed that certain individuals had met with the establishment in recent days, but Khan’s position in these meetings were not disclosed. He also mentioned the reformation of the All Parties Conference (APC) and questioned why Khan’s stance on the matter was not being brought forward.

"The Grand Position Alliance was a political answer to this. We have not been able to achieve any success through it raises a big question," he maintained, adding that if Maulana Fazlur Rehman did not join the alliance it'll all be futile.
“The government has carefully planned this entire situation to suppress his narrative,” he alleged. He added that the public, including even cart drivers outside Adiala Jail, frequently ask about Khan’s release, but PTI leaders have no answers.
PTI’s political strategy and challenges
Faisal Chaudhry spoke about the need for a powerful political organization in Punjab to drive PTI’s movement forward. He emphasized that PTI leader Alia Hamza is making significant efforts, but obstacles are being placed in her way. “Azam Swati and Alia Hamza’s paths are being blocked, even though they are among the bravest PTI members,” he remarked.
Imran Khan’s health in jail
Despite being behind bars, Chaudhry affirmed that Imran Khan remains resilient. “He is healthy, strong, and fighting. But this does not mean he should not be released,” he asserted. He further stated that there is no visible difference between Khan’s leadership from Bani Gala and his current situation in jail, reinforcing the idea that his political influence remains intact.
“The longer it takes to release him, the greater the damage to the party and the country,” Chaudhry warned.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, a planned meeting between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan and family and his legal team on Eid day turned chaotic at Adiala Jail’s Gate 5, as several key party members and lawyers were denied entry.
According to PTI founder's focal person, Niazullah Niazi, the party had been coordinating with prison officials for the meeting. However, when the delegation arrived, only a select few were allowed to enter, including Azam Swati, Nadia Khattak, Tabish Farooq, Mubashir Awan and Ansar Kiani, while others, including prominent lawyer and meetings coordinator Salman Akram Raja, were stopped.
Dispute at jail gate
A heated argument ensued between Salman Akram Raja and the jail staff after he, along with Shoaib Shaheen and Niazullah Niazi, was prevented from meeting Imran Khan. Raja insisted that his name was on the list of approved visitors, but authorities refused to let him in.
