Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new all-time high on Monday, with the price of 24-carat gold per tola rising by Rs 1,500 to settle at Rs 309,500, as per rates shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The price of 10-gram 24-carat gold also witnessed an increase of Rs 1,286, reaching Rs 265,346, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 243,242 per 10 grams after an upward adjustment of Rs 1,179.
In the international market, gold prices continued their bullish trend, gaining $12 to trade at $2,948 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded an increase, with 24-carat silver per tola rising by Rs 15 to reach Rs 3,395, while 10 grams of silver saw a Rs 13 rise, settling at Rs 2,910. The international silver price also edged up by $0.16 to trade at $32.60 per ounce.
Market analysts attribute the ongoing surge in gold prices to global economic trends, including inflationary pressures and increased demand from central banks.
Experts suggest that gold prices may continue their upward trajectory in the coming weeks.
