Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will undertake a two-day official visit to Uzbekistan from Tuesday at the invitation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
A high-level delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other cabinet officials will accompany the PM.
During the bilateral meeting, the prime minister and Uzbek president would go over all spheres of bilateral cooperation, including connectivity, economic, trade, investment, energy, defence and security, regional stability, and education. The leaders would also share opinions about regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Furthermore, several bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed.
Additionally, PM Shehbaz will also address the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum. Leading businessmen from both sides will attend the Business Forum and hold B2B meetings to improve bilateral trade even further.
