A local court in Karachi has sent Sahir Hasan, son of veteran actor Sajid Hasan, to jail on judicial remand in a drug recovery case after rejecting the prosecution's request for an extension in his physical remand.
Following the completion of his physical remand, Sahir Hasan was presented before a judicial magistrate at the judicial complex of Central Jail Karachi. The court ruled against further police custody and instead ordered the accused to be sent to jail on judicial remand.
The court also directed the investigating officer to submit a challan in the case.
Sahir Hasan’s statement
During his appearance, Sahir Hasan refrained from making any statements regarding the case, stating, "The matter is in court. I will not say anything. Whatever it is, it will be proven in court. All charges against me are allegations."

A local court on Sunday remanded accused Sahir Hasan into police custody for one day as part of the ongoing investigation into the Mustafa Amir murder case amid allegations of drug dealing and police misconduct.
During the proceedings, Sahir Hasan denied any connection to the murder, stating that he had been wrongfully implicated. "I was taken from my home, and later, the police claimed to have recovered drugs from me," he told the court.
He also denied selling or buying drugs from Mustafa Amir or the prime suspect, Armaghan Qureshi.
"I don’t know what report my father filed at the Darakhshan police station," he added.
Contradictory claims
However, investigative authorities presented conflicting statements, alleging that Sahir Hasan was involved in drug dealings with both Mustafa and Armaghan. According to officials, Sahir last sold drugs to Armaghan on January 5, with the accused allegedly purchasing 2 to 2.5 grams.
