An explosion rocked Jan Muhammad Jadoon Road in Quetta on Friday, injuring at least nine people.
Police reported that the injured were immediately transported to the Civil Hospital Trauma Center for urgent medical treatment.
Following the blast, police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and launched relief efforts. Authorities have cordoned off the area and are working to determine the nature and cause of the explosion. Bomb disposal squad and crime scene unit personnel also reached the site to collect evidence.
Following the incident, Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar and Health Secretary Mujeebur Rehman directed Quetta Trauma Center MD Dr. Arbab Kamran, and MS to impose an emergency at Civil Hospital. Additional medical staff were called in to ensure prompt treatment for the injured.
According to police officials, the nature of the explosion is still being determined, and further investigations are underway.
