Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Ghulam Khan Kalay, North Waziristan District on 28 February 2025, based on reported presence of Khwarij.
During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, resulting in the death of six Khwarij. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, who had been actively involved in numerous attacks against security forces and the killing of innocent civilians.
A sanitisation operation is now being conducted to eliminate any other Khwarij present in the area. Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the threat of terrorism from the country.
President, PM laud security personnel
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operation in North Waziristan.
President Zardari, in a statement issued by the President House Press Wing, expressed gratitude to the martyrs for sacrificing their lives in defence of the nation. He also commended the forces for killing six terrorists during the operation.
PM Shehbaz stated that the sacrifices of the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism would never go in vain.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to completely eliminating all forms of terrorism in the country.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi also lauded the security forces for thwarting the terrorist plot in North Waziristan, sending six terrorists to hell.
