Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has arranged fuel for around 36 flights today, after paying Rs220 million to Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
This comes after PIA's flights were disrupted due to fuel shortages earlier this week.
According to PSO, a temporary agreement has been reached with PIA for daily fuel supply.
The revised list of the national airline shows that fuel will be supplied to the flights for the next two days.
PSO has said that more fuel has been requested for flights going abroad.
From October 1 to 19, the state oil company has provided fuel worth Rs3.6 billion to PIA.
So far this month, PIA's current liabilities have exceeded Rs2 billion while its liabilities of Rs26 billion are already part of the circular debt.
The fuel shortages at PIA have caused disruption to passengers' travel plans.
The airline has been forced to cancel and delay flights, and passengers have been stranded at airports.
The government has said that it is working to resolve the fuel shortage issue. The flag carrier has also said that it is taking steps to improve its financial performance.
What does this mean for passengers?
Passengers who are booked on PIA flights should check the status of their flights before heading to the airport. They should also be prepared for delays and cancellations.
Passengers who are affected by flight disruptions should contact PIA customer service for assistance.
