The Civil Aviation authorities issued a high alert for Allama Iqbal International Airport on the arrival day of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
The plane of the former prime minister is likely to land at 3:30 p.m.
The state lounge has also been prepared for the landing of the PML-N supremo plane.
The airport management cancelled the daily wages and passes of contract employees and lane-II of the airport has been closed.
“Nawaz Sharif could stop for a few moments in the state lounge,” a CAA officer told SAMAA TV.
The plane has been declared VIP and the special branch will take over the control of the lounge upon arrival of the charter plane at Lahore Airport.
Lahore's Lorri Ada closed
Due to the PML-N meeting in Lahore, Badami Bagh lorri Ada has been closed for public transport and all passengers are directed to go to Thokarniaz Beg or Niazi Adda for transport to other cities.
The administration has allocated 16 parking points for convoy vehicles at the lorry base.
