Michael Bracewell has been named captain of the Blackcaps for their upcoming five-match T20I series against Pakistan, marking his first time leading the team on home soil.
Head coach Gary Stead expressed confidence in Bracewell’s leadership, calling him a "natural leader" in strong form ahead of the series.
The squad will assemble in Christchurch on Friday, March 14, ahead of the series opener at Hagley Oval. Each T20I will be part of a double-header, featuring the WHITE FERNS taking on Sri Lanka and Australia on the same day at the same venue.
The matches will be broadcast live on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+, with radio coverage available on Sport Nation.
The BLACKCAPS squad includes key players such as Finn Allen, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, and Ish Sodhi, while Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, and Zak Foulkes will feature in selected matches. The series promises an exciting contest as New Zealand faces Pakistan in front of home crowds.
The Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to tour New Zealand from March 16 to April 5, 2025, for a series comprising five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs).
