In a recent development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan on Saturday engaged in a WhatsApp call with his sons, Sulaiman and Qasim, who are currently residing in London.
The touching interaction took place following a special court order implementing the Official Secrets Act within Adiala Jail, where Imran Khan is currently incarcerated.
Adiala Jail authorities diligently followed the court order, ensuring that the PTI chairman could communicate with his sons while adhering to all required security protocols.
Sources privy to the development said that the conversation between Mr Khan and his sons which lasted thirty minutes was filled with emotions as Sulaiman and Qasim received solace and advice from their father, who encouraged them to remain patient during these trying times.
Earlier, Anti Terrorism Court judge AbulHasnat Zulqarnain allowed Imran Khan to call his sons in UK while listening to an application filed by Imran Khan lawyer lawyer.
Aleema Khan sister of Imran Khan accompanied Sheraz Ranjha at the hearing. Judge AbulHasnat Zulqarnain said, "the sop's doesn't allow prisoners to use PCO facilities such as Skype or Whatsapp," on which Ranjha argued, "but the jail manual doesn't have any prohibition on making Whatsapp call, prisoners can even make phone calls to their family members for 30 minutes every Saturday.
