Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) successfully launched 23 new Starlink satellites into space, including 13 equipped with direct-to-cell connectivity capabilities.
According to details, the launch took place from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, with the Falcon 9 rocket delivering the satellites into low Earth orbit.
According to the company, this launch marked SpaceX’s third within a mere 13-hour period, highlighting the firm’s rapid pace of satellite deployment.
As of 2025, SpaceX had completed 31 Falcon 9 missions, with approximately two-thirds dedicated to constructing the Starlink satellite network.
This network, now the largest satellite constellation ever assembled, had seen around 8,100 Starlink spacecraft launched. Of these, 7,061 were operational, as confirmed by astrophysicist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell.
McDowell, speaking on the ongoing progress of the Starlink programme, noted, "The scale of this network continues to grow at a remarkable rate, with thousands of satellites already in orbit and more being added."
