Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq underscored on Saturday the role of youth in shaping the future of the country.
Speaking at a rally in Khanewal, Haq lamented the prevailing system, noting that it disadvantages the poor and primarily benefits mafias and thieves.
He emphasised his party's desire to challenge the dominance of oppressive feudal lords and create space for the common people within the democratic process. Haq stressed the need for the ordinary citizens to be represented in legislative bodies.
Highlighting the significance of the country's youth, Haq expressed that the nation is blessed with a vibrant and dynamic younger generation.
He questioned why the country remains reliant on financial assistance from institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
