The exchange rate of the Saudi Riyal (SAR) remained unchanged against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) in the open market, standing at Rs74.71 on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
The selling rate also recorded no changes, holding firm at Rs75.11, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan.

In a recent diplomatic engagement, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in defence and security cooperation. The commitment was underscored during a high-level meeting in Jeddah between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
The Pakistani delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Both sides emphasized their intent to enhance collaboration in multiple sectors, reflecting the depth of their longstanding relationship.
Meanwhile, Pakistan received $3.1 billion in workers’ remittances in February 2025, marking a 3.8% increase compared to January 2025, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). On an annual basis, remittances surged by 38.6%, rising from $2.25 billion recorded in February 2024.
Saudi Arabia remained the largest contributor to Pakistan’s remittance inflows, with overseas Pakistanis sending $744.4 million in February 2025. This represented a 2.21% increase on a monthly basis and a 37.88% rise compared to the same period last year.
