Pets are like family to many, and for some, their love for animals extends beyond the ordinary.
In an extraordinary display of affection for rare breeds, Bengaluru-based pet enthusiast S Sathish has made headlines by purchasing one of the world’s most expensive dogs, Cadaboms Okami, for a staggering Rs. 50 crore.
Okami is a unique mix between a wild wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd. Born in the USA, the rare wolfdog arrived in India in February 2025. At just 8 months old, Okami already weighs 75 kg and has an imposing presence that closely resembles a real wolf.
Since his arrival, Okami has gained massive popularity. He regularly appears at events and film shows, where fans eagerly take pictures with him. Sathish revealed that he earns Rs. 2.5 lakh for a 30-minute appearance and up to Rs. 10 lakh for longer shows, claiming, “People notice us more than movie stars!”
Sathish, a long-time dog lover, owns over 150 rare dogs, all housed in a 7-acre farm in Bengaluru. Each dog has its own dedicated space, and six caretakers ensure their well-being. The farm is equipped with CCTV cameras and high-security walls to protect these rare pets.
Okami enjoys a special diet, consuming 3 kg of raw chicken daily. Apart from Okami, Sathish also owns a Chow Chow that resembles a red panda, valued at Rs. 28 crore.
Although Sathish previously bred dogs, he has now turned his passion into a lucrative business by showcasing his rare pets. For him, these animals are not just pets but a lifelong commitment and passion.
With Okami’s rising fame, it’s clear that luxury pets are becoming a growing trend among the ultra-rich.
