11 militants were killed in a series of operations conducted by the security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on March 26 and 27.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations, which were aimed at neutralising terrorism in the region, began with an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan District. During this operation, security forces engaged militants, resulting in the death of five terrorists.
In a subsequent operation, also in Mir Ali, three additional militants were killed. These engagements are part of the ongoing efforts to disrupt militant activities in the area.
A third operation, which occurred in the nearby area of Miran Shah, North Waziristan, led to the neutralisation of two more militants.
The fourth operation, in Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan District, resulted in the death of one militant, further bolstering security in the region.
In all operations, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, who were believed to have been actively involved in several terrorist activities.
As a result, sanitisation operations are now underway to clear any remaining militant presence and secure the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had praised the security forces for conducting the successful operations against the terrorists.
“The entire nation stands with the security forces against terrorism,” said the premier.
