Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti held separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore to discuss key national issues, including security, the repatriation of Afghan nationals, and development projects in Balochistan.
Naqvi briefs PM on security and Afghan repatriation
During his meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the prime minister on Eidul Fitr and briefed him on the security measures implemented across the country during the festive period. The progress of the ongoing process for the repatriation of Afghan nationals was also discussed in detail.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed satisfaction over the law and order situation, particularly during Eid, and commended the efforts of law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace. The meeting also covered various matters related to the Ministry of Interior.
Balochistan CM discusses law & order
Separately, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti met the PM and extended Eid greetings. In a post on his official account on X, Bugti revealed that the two leaders held a detailed discussion on the province’s economic and social development, as well as its security situation. They also exchanged views on the law and order situation in the province.
Bugti shared that the two also discussed various development projects being carried out in collaboration with the federal government. He highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare in Balochistan.
He further said that PM Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the federal government's commitment to the province’s progress, assuring full support for the continuation and expansion of developmental projects. He emphasized that Balochistan’s development remains a top priority for his administration.
