Industry-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (better known as @OnLeaks) shared detailed 5K renders and a 360-degree video of the upcoming wearable in collaboration with 91Mobiles, providing insights into potential design changes.
The images showcase the Pixel Watch 4 in a black colorway with Google's signature circular design intact. While maintaining visual continuity with previous models, the renders suggest Google has made subtle but potentially significant modifications to its wearable lineup.
Most notably, the four magnetic charging pins visible on the Pixel Watch 3's rear casing appear absent in these leaked images, suggesting Google may have transitioned to wireless charging technology for the new model.
According to the source, the Pixel Watch 4 will be noticeably thicker than its predecessor at 14.3mm compared to the Pixel Watch 3's 12.3mm profile. This increased depth could potentially accommodate a larger battery, addressing one of the most common user concerns about smartwatch longevity.
Like the current generation, the Pixel Watch 4 will reportedly be available in two size options – 41mm and 45mm – catering to different wrist sizes and preferences. The design maintains dual side buttons alongside a speaker.
