Layyah police acted swiftly and recovered a kidnapped citizen just 40 minutes after the abduction, arresting all four abductors.
Qamar-uz-Zaman was abducted by unknown individuals who attempted to take him to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Upon receiving the alert, District Police Officer (DPO) Layyah, Muhammad Ali Waseem, ordered immediate blockades throughout the district and sealed off all the entry and exit points of the city.
Meanwhile, Pir Jaggi Police Station signalled a suspicious car to stop, but the driver attempted to flee, prompting a chase.
After a brief pursuit, the police successfully intercepted the vehicle, recovered the kidnapped citizen safely, and apprehended all four abductors. The arrested suspects belong to the Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A cache of firearms was also recovered from their possession. A case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigation is underway.
