Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Musadik Malik said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had hired David Fenton as a "lobbyist".
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV programme "Nadeem Malik Live", the PML-N stalwart said: "The PTI is in the habit of staging protests before securing a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF)."
"David Fenton has been running a campaign against Pakistan's nuclear programme for the last 30 years," Malik added.
He said: "Thanks to a higher power, Pakistan was saved through the IMF programme."

Earlier on Tuesday, PML-N leader Barrister Aqeel Malik claimed that economic indicators were moving towards improvement.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme "Nadeem Malik Live", Malik said: "A CCC rating also came some time ago. The structural reforms are being carried out slowly."
Malik blamed the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the existing economic crunch.
"The decline in the country's economy occurred during the PTI government," he said.
He added: "Who broke the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreement? We did not violate it."
Malik took an indirect jibe at PTI founder Imran Khan, saying, "A person was taking the country to the brink of destruction."
"A no-confidence motion was brought against this person," he maintained.
