Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed has questioned Shadab Khan’s presence in the Pakistan national cricket team.
Expressing his thoughts on his YouTube channel, Ahmed lavished praise on Islamabad United batter Sahibzada Farhan, saying he was playing outstanding cricket.
“It is exceptional the way Sahibzada is giving consistent performances. He [Sahibzada Farhan] has compiled three centuries in the National T20 Cup, and one century along with a half-century in the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).”
“I would like to request the selectors to avoid blaming Sahibzada Farhan for an attitude problem,” said Ahmed.
Ahmed acknowledged the United’s overall performance against Multan Sultans. “The United have played very good cricket. Bowlers, batters, and all-rounders – everyone rose to the occasion,” he added.
“Jason Holder has given a great performance,” he said.
Speaking about Multan Sultans spinner Usama Mir, Ahmed said: “Usama Mir should replace Shadab Khan in the national cricket team. Shadab Khan is fooling everyone. He comes to bat at number four in the PSL matches. He picks a wicket or two.”
“Shadab is trying to create a perception that he is the only leg-spinner who can also bat,” he said.
Speaking about Multan Sultans batter Usman Khan, Ahmed said: “I cannot understand what Usman Khan is doing, as he tries to hit every delivery.”
