Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi on Saturday slammed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the latter had always played the anti-Muslim card.
Expressing his thoughts, Afridi said: "From the day Narendra Modi became the prime minister, the situation became tense. India should produce any evidence it has against Pakistan. Pakistan has presented evidence to the world against India."
He stated, "Indian media has turned into Bollywood within an hour. Politics is about bringing people closer together, not spreading hatred."
"Politics should be kept separate from sport. Jay Shah should have sent the Indian team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. It is due to Narendra Modi that the Indian team did not come to play in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan," said Afridi.
"We want to see both countries playing cricket with each other," he added.
