Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has expressed deep pride and gratitude toward the Pakistan Army, saying their sacrifices have made it possible for the nation to live in peace.
Speaking in the Samaa TV show, 'Zor Ka Jor', Afridi said, "I am very proud of Pakistan’s Army. It is among the best armies in the world."
He highlighted that thanks to the tireless efforts and sacrifices of Pakistani soldiers, the people are able to enjoy freedom and security.
"What freedom truly means can be understood by looking at the plight of Palestinians," Afridi added.
He further said that the sacrifices made by the armed forces are beyond what words can express, and their role in the stability and progress of Pakistan is critical. "The Pakistan Army has a very important role in the strength and unity of our country," he stressed.
