Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed and her husband Professor Atiq Ahmad were apprehended by the police on Monday.
The couple was arrested near Kot Lakhpat Jail, where Sanam Javed had just finished attending a court hearing related to the May 9 cases.
According to sources, a heavy police presence, including several vehicles, descended upon the couple shortly after they left the premises of Kot Lakhpat Jail.
The police took both individuals into custody, with no official word on the reasons for their detention. The couple was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location, fueling further speculation about the nature of their arrest.
