Renowned celebrity photographer Irfan Ahson, a leading name in Pakistan’s photography industry, has elaborated on his viral statement regarding Junaid Safdar’s divorce.
Having worked with some of the biggest celebrities and politicians, including the Nawaz Sharif family, Irfan recently shared his perspective on why he felt the marriage might not last.
In a new video posted on YouTube, Irfan Ahson gave an insider’s view of the high-profile wedding. He revealed that the Sharif family had hired him to cover the groom’s side. While praising the entire family for their warmth and professionalism, particularly Maryam Nawaz Sharif, whom he described as “very elegant”, — he shed light on some troubling signs he noticed during the events.
According to Irfan, the bride was extremely skeptical about media coverage. She instructed the photography team not to take any pictures of her, restricting them from covering her entrance or coming close during the event. During the rukhsati ceremony, the bride’s family formed a circle around the couple, permitting only the bride’s photographer to document the moment.
Given these limitations, Irfan focused more on photographing Maryam Nawaz and the groom's family to fulfil his contractual obligations.
Reflecting on the experience, Irfan Ahson clarified that he harbours no resentment towards anyone but added, "When one side is making so many concessions and the other is not, you can often sense that things might not work in the long run."
His candid revelations have reignited discussions around Junaid Safdar’s highly publicised wedding and subsequent divorce, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the dynamics that may have contributed to the relationship’s breakdown.
