Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Tuesday that all political parties stood united with the Pakistan Armed Forces in complete agreement.
Addressing an event in Lahore at the Expo Centre, Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz declared: "My effort has been that no one needs to go to the government; the government itself must reach the people. I did not like seeing people having to carry bags of flour. Alhamdulillah, three million families received ration packets at their doorsteps."
"The Higher Power has chosen you to serve the people. Secure both your worldly life and the hereafter through service," said CM Maryam added.
CM Maryam stated that Pakistan possessed an atomic bomb, and questioned: "Who gave Pakistan the atomic bomb? Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan a nuclear power. All political parties stood with the army as a united nation. Our army is protecting the borders like an iron wall. Pakistan’s defence remains impregnable, and although India’s threat persists, the army and we stood together."
She stated that the minimum wage should be set at thirty-seven thousand rupees. She added that although it had been announced in the past, it had not been implemented.
She remarked that it had never occurred before that the price of roti had fallen back to Rs12 from Rs24 or Rs30. CM Maryam clarified that it was not that Punjab possessed more money or the resources; instead, all provinces received their resources through the NFC Award.
