Kia Pakistan has announced a substantial reduction in the prices of its Sportage L lineup and Picanto to ensure its vehicles remain both competitive and accessible in the local market.
The automaker, in a statement released via Facebook, confirmed that the price cuts will come into effect from May 1, 2025.
The decision to lower prices is a part of Kia’s ongoing strategy to provide enhanced value to its customers while facing challenges in the fluctuating automotive market.
Kia Sportage price reductions
The Kia Sportage L HEV has seen a drastic price reduction of Rs1,851,000, with its new ex-factory price now standing at Rs10,999,000, down from the previous price of Rs12,850,000. Similarly, the Sportage L FWD has been slashed by Rs1,826,000, now priced at Rs9,999,000, compared to its former rate of Rs11,825,000.
The entry-level variant of the Sportage, the Sportage L Alpha, has also experienced a reduction, with its price now standing at Rs8,499,000, down from Rs9,499,000.
Kia Picanto price adjustment
In addition to the Sportage models, Kia has also lowered the price of the Picanto (AT) by Rs90,000, bringing its ex-factory price to Rs3,850,000, down from Rs3,940,000.
However, customers who have already placed orders for the Picanto and made full payment before April 30, 2025, will still be invoiced at the previous price. New customer orders placed on or after May 1, 2025, will reflect the revised prices.
Terms and conditions
The ex-factory prices announced exclude freight and insurance charges, which will be applicable separately. Kia Pakistan has emphasized that this temporary price reduction is part of its effort to maintain customer satisfaction and ensure its products stay relevant in the market.
The latest price cuts come at a time when local automakers are under pressure due to the economic climate, with rising costs of production and imports.
