The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed for hearing the contempt of court case against the Islamabad inspector general of police (IGP) over the arrest of Dr Shireen Mazari despite a restraining order.
The contempt case against IGP Akbar Nasir Khan was registered over the arrest of former PTI leader Dr Shireen Mazari despite a restraining order by the court.
The high court has fixed the case for hearing on September 28. The police chief has however submitted an unconditional apology in the case.
The next hearing will decide whether the IGP’s apology will be accepted or will the proceedings go further.
Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the case.
Dr Shireen Mazari was arrested back in May despite a court order. The court had stopped the police from arresting the former minister.
