Amidst the lack of attention of the government and Capital Development Authority (CDA) in the federal capital, the residents of Islamabad expressed dismay over the dilapidated condition of roads and sewer systems, with a viral photo showing a toilet commode replacing a missing manhole cover.
Recently, an image circulated on social media that captured a striking example of this predicament. In the photograph, instead of a proper manhole cover, a toilet commode was placed over a sewer opening in Islamabad’s Sector I-Nine industrial area.
This is how social media users responded to the photo with a mix of sarcasm and frustration;
Modern problems require modern solutions :p

Later, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) acknowledged the issue after it was brought to their attention by the popular Islamabadies X handle. In response, the CDA stated that the problem had been addressed promptly, with the commode being replaced by a proper drain cover.
