A special court has ordered to let PTI Chairman Imran Khan speak to his sons over the phone.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the Official Secrets Act special court has sought an implementation report by September 15 and ordered to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the jail superintendent for not following orders in this regard.
The court has ordered to ensure implementation of the orders in any case.
Judge Zulqarnain conducted the hearing on the PTI chairman's application.
Earlier, Imran Khan had filed a contempt of court petition against the superintendent of the Attock Jail.
The petition stated that despite court orders, the former prime minister was not allowed to talk to his children over telephone.
The special court of the Official Secrets Act had ordered to let Imran Khan meet his children, the petition added.
It further urge that the Attock Jail superintendent be summoned in his personal capacity and contempt proceedings initiated against him.
Imran Khan should be allowed to talk to his children through phone or WhatsApp, the application requested.
The contempt petition was filed by Advocate Shiraz Ranjha.
