The first two months of the fiscal year 2023–24 saw a dramatic drop in car sales of 50.35 percent when compared to the same time previous year.
In contrast to the 19,358 units sold in the equivalent months of the previous year, 9,611 automobiles were sold overall during this time, according to recent data issued by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA). These numbers are broken out, and it's clear that sales of all kinds of cars have significantly decreased.
Only 700 units of the Honda Civic and City were sold in July and August 2023–24, compared to 3,844 units at the same time period the year before. The sales of the Toyota Corolla and Yaris also fell by 52.83 percent, from 4,635 units to 2,186 units.
Sales of the Suzuki Swift fell from 853 units to 755 units, a 11.48 percent decrease. In comparison to the same period last year, when 1,072 units were sold, Suzuki Cultus reported 482 units sold during the first two months of the current year. From 647 units to 604 units, Suzuki WagonR sales decreased.
From 6,911 units to 4,209 units, the Suzuki Alto's sales dropped precipitously by 39.09 percent. And finally, sales of the Suzuki Bolan decreased to 312 units from 580 units in the same month last year.
