Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq claimed on Sunday that only his party can take the country out of the quagmire.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Haq lashed out at the political opponents, saying, “The country will be freed from the political parties, who are working against the people’s will on February 8.”
He bashed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). “The two political parties [PML-N and PPP] had dragged the country backward instead of steering it towards progression,” Haq said.
“The inept rulers are responsible for the economic catastrophe and instability in the country,” he added.
Haq stated: “The country will witness the success of JI on February 8.”

Few days back, Haq on Thursday hoped that the country will witness a "revolution" on February 8.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Haq bemoaned the political landscape. "The country did not gain independence to witness the staging of "dynastic" politics. The huddle in which the relatives sit together is known as the parliamentary meeting in the country's political scenario."
He underscored the importance of uplifting the Islamic political system in the country. "The purpose of gaining independence was to impose the Islamic system on the country," he said.
