Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq ruled out on Sunday the possibility of an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Expressing his thoughts in Islamabad, Haq fired a fresh broadside at the PML-N and PPP. “The PML-N and PPP had harmed the country. We will not allow anybody to snatch the public mandate in the upcoming general elections.”

"If transparent elections are not held in the country, then we will not accept the general elections. If all the same environment is not provided to all political parties, then it might be difficult to run the next government,” Haq stated.
The JI chief said, “The JI will take part in the upcoming elections on the manifesto of peace, development, and prosperity. We will impose an emergency in the education and health sectors.”

Haq said on Friday that the country was witnessing "political uncertainty.”
Addressing the youth workers’ convention in Lower Dir, Haq said, “The solution to all the problems in the country is the timely elections. If the timely polls are not be held then the country will be further dragged into the quagmire."
He took a swipe at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). “The PML-N, PPP, and PTI are responsible for harming the country.”
Haq said, “There is no room for upholding the remote control democracy in the country. If there had been the rule of the JI in the country, none of the single Indian troop would have been allowed in Kashmir.”
