At least 11 people including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah sustained injuries in a blast that took place in Mastung, Balochistan on Thursday, Samaa TV reported.
According to details, there was an explosion in the vicinity of a vehicle that resulted in injuries to Hamdullah and three others.
Reportedly, Hamdullah and others were on their way to Kalat from Quetta to Kalat.
Shortly after the explosion was announced, JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri conveyed that Hamdullah sustained injuries, but they were not of a "critical nature".
Police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
The wounded have been transported to a hospital.
Following the incident, the caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki strongly condemned the blast and sought a report regarding the incident.
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also vehemently condemned the blast, expressing deep concern over the injury sustained by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) spokesman Hafiz Hamdullah.
He conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Hamdullah and all others who were affected, reiterating that all of Pakistan stands united in its resolve to combat terrorism.
