Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior Murad Ali Shah said on Tuesday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif "took a lot of time” to return home.
Speaking to the media in Jamshoro, the former Sindh chief minister said: “There were many alliances formed against the PPP, but each of them failed. All the alliances against the PPP had been bludgeoned.”
He expressed optimism about “clinching victory” in the upcoming general elections. “The PPP will win the elections on February 8 by breaking all the records.”
Shah took a dig at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, saying, “The PTI founder had left the country on the verge of default. Sindh had also had to face injustices during his tenure.”

“We welcome Nawaz Sharif and encourage him to contest the elections. But the masses want to see the PPP’s triumph in the general elections,” Shah stated.
He maintained: “The masses know each and everything that stood with time in the difficult times and who left the country.”
PPP) senior Manzoor Wassan on Tuesday claimed efforts were underway to bring former premier Nawaz Sharif into the power, the way Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder was brought.
Speaking to the media at the airport in Sukkur, Wassan said, “The elections are happening, but anything can happen during the last moments before the elections. The PPP wants timely elections in the country.”
“It is our wish that the bat symbol should remain intact,” the PPP stalwart said.
