Amidst intensifying winter conditions, the Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced to extend winter holidays for all public and private educational institutions until January 7 after Punjab.
A notification issued by the provincial education department highlighted the decision, stating that schools across the province will remain closed until the specified date in consideration of the prevailing freezing temperatures.
This extension echoes similar measures taken in Punjab, where the severity of winter has also prompted an elongation of school holidays. Besides the climatic concerns, the extension is attributed to the arrangement of teacher election training sessions, contributing to the adjusted school reopening date.
The decision aims to prioritize the safety of students, teachers, and staff, recognizing the challenges posed by the current weather conditions across educational institutions in the region.
