Three terrorists were killed by security forces for trying to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the general area of Batwar, Bajaur District, the military’s media affairs wing said on Sunday.
The operation, characterised by an intense exchange of gunfire between the security forces and the terrorists, led to the demise of the three extremists, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Furthermore, the security forces confiscated weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the incapacitated terrorists during the operation.

Separately, five terrorists were gunned down during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general Mashkai area of Balochistan’s Awaran district, the ISPR on Sunday.
According to the military’s media affairs wing, security forces conducted the IBO on the night of Dec 30 and Dec 31 over the reported presence of terrorists.
It further added that during the conduct of the operation, after an intense fire exchange between their troops and the terrorists, five terrorists were sent to hell.

“The terrorists’ hideout was also busted and a cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives was recovered", the ISPR said.
The ISPR also said a sanitisation operation was being carried out to eliminate other terrorists in the area.
