The govt has launched a crackdown across the country, with significant achievements reported by officials.
According to official figures released, a total of Rs2.58 billion have been recovered by December 31, marking the success of effective actions taken against this rampant issue.
The crackdown has led to the arrest of 107 individuals involved in electricity theft.
Authorities highlight substantial recoveries in key cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan, where a total of Rs1.39 billion have been reclaimed.
In Lahore alone, 48 individuals have been apprehended, while Multan witnessed the arrest of 14 suspects.
Peshawar saw the recovery of Rs0.50 billion, with one suspect apprehended, and an additional Rs0.02 billion collected from newly added districts.
Hyderabad and Sukkur witnessed the arrest of 41 individuals and the recovery of Rs0.5 billion.
Quetta, too, has made significant progress, with Rs0.12 billion collected and the apprehension of three individuals. Furthermore, Gwadar has seen the recovery of Rs0.05 billion.
The statistics highlight a total recovery of 2.58 billion rupees from September 1 until now.
