In a concerted effort to combat electricity theft, the govt's recent decisions have led to effective actions across the country.
According to the figures from December 31 to January 8, a total of Rs2.138 billion has been recovered, and 199 individuals have been apprehended nationwide.
Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan have collectively contributed to the recovery of Rs1.083 billion, with 95 individuals arrested.
Additionally, Gujranwala has seen a recovery of Rs0.06 billion. In Peshawar, a sum of Rs0.44 billion has been collected, and 67 individuals have been detained.

The newly added districts have contributed Rs0.026 billion to the recovery efforts.
Hyderabad and Sukkur have witnessed the arrest of 37 individuals, leading to the recovery of Rs0.451 billion. Quetta has contributed Rs0.071 billion to the overall recovery.
From September 1 until now, a total of Rs63.679 billion has been recovered, and 37,308 individuals have been apprehended in the ongoing crackdown against electricity theft.
